How the Auction Works

1. When is the 2012 Auction taking place?
The Auction is Monday, March 19, 2012 to Wednesday, March 21, 2011 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. You can watch it on KATV Channel 7. Radio simulcast will once again be on WYKR 101.3FM and WSTJ 1340AM. You can also bid online by visiting www.StJKauction.com.

2. How does the auction work?
We have 36 groups of merchandise to be auctioned over three nights. We are on the air from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday. Each group is about 12-13 minutes long and consists of about 16 items to be shown on TV and described on the radio by the auctioneer. Once the bell rings at the end of a group's time, the bidding is over for that group. There are two exceptions to the rule. The first exception is the Super Specials which will be reviewed each night and then auctioned off at the very end of the auction on Wednesday night. You may bid on any item at any time throughout the 3 nights...before the ending bell for that particular group. The second exception is when bids end in a tie. In this case, we will call the bidders involved and they will bid against each other until the tie is broken and a winner is determined.

3. How do I bid?
You can call locally at 802-751-8670 or toll free 1-866-740-0622 on the nights of the auction, or you can place bids any time online by visiting www.stjkauction.com.

4. How will I know if I have won?
All high bidders will be called back shortly after the conclusion of a group and notified that they have won. Please DO NOT call to inquire if you have won because the phone operators have NO way of knowing who the winners are and are busy taking bids on the next group. If you are not at the phone you registered with, we cannot call you back and the item will be awarded to the next highest bidder.

5. How do I pay for the items and pick up the items I win?
High bidders can pick up and pay (cash, personal checks and Visa/MasterCard) for their merchandise at The Father Lively Center at 481 Summer St. in St. Johnsbury, VT between 11:00 AM and 6:00 PM on Thursday and between 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM on Friday.
