How the Auction works

The TV/Radio Auction will take place March 15, 16, 17th 6:00-9:00 PM.
You can follow the auction from 6 to 9:00 pm on KATV Channel 7, on WYKR, 101.3 FM in Wells River, on WSTJ 1340 am in St. Johnsbury or on the web courtesy of Northeast Sportsnet.
Watch for the insert in the March 13th Caledonian-Record.
If you don't have the Saturday issue of the paper, you can pick one up at locations near St. Johnsbury.

Each group will be announced and shown to you as it is auctioned off. Please pay close attention as the groups are announced. There may be one or two changes.
Each group of items will be described and auctioned off in 10 to 12 minutes. A bell will ring at the end of each group's alloted time signifying that all bidding is over for this group. In case of a tie, someone will call the high bidders simultaneously and solicit a tie-breaking bid. All bids are final and must be received before the ringing of the bell. Bids may be placed in advance for any item in any group or specials yet to be auctioned off. Since the bid board will not always be visible on television, our phone operators can advise you of the current posted bid.
Some time is required to post all bids. therefore, the last bid shown at the close of a group may not be the winning bid. If you are the high bidder, you will be called back shortly after the group closes for confirmation of your bid - so please stay by your phone! If we cannot confirm a high bid by calling you back, the item will go to the next highest bidder!
Remember, if you are not called back, you are not the high bidder.
When you make your first bid of the auction, the operator will give you a bidder number. this is your bid number for the entire auction. use it whenever you make a bid on an item. You might want to write it down in the designated box on each page of the newspaper listings for the auction.
This year, we are taking on-line bids on many items including Nightly Specials and Super Specials. Nightly specials are the highlighted items in each regular group and Super Specials have their own group. We will accept on-line bids starting February 22 until midnight on Friday March 12th. At that time, on-line bidding will cease, all high bids will be entered on the bid board and you may resume the bidding process on the phones during the auction if you wish. If no higher bids are phoned in during the actual auction, your on-line bid will win.
Please make arrangements to have your items picked up and paid for at the Father Lively Center (formerly Frank R. Adams School) at 481 Summer St. in St. Johnsbury on Thursday March 18th from 11am - 6 pm & Friday March 19th from 4 pm - 7 pm. Please note that if your items are not picked up during the scheduled times, that item will be awarded to the next highest bidder.
